Redefining the Chocolate Experience with Global Flavors and Indigenous Stories
At Raven Rising, we blend the world of fine chocolates with the rich traditions of Indigenous cultures. Global landscapes, nature, and cultural narratives inspire our handcrafted bonbons, bars, and confections. We offer a unique sensory journey.
Committed to traceable, sustainable, and fair trade, we collaborate directly with Indigenous businesses and individuals, wherever possible, to create a positive impact globally. We also proudly source locally and from Canadian businesses. Join us in savoring the richness of diversity, one exquisite chocolate at a time.
A portion of our proceeds are donated to various societies supporting 60's Scoop, MMIWg2s, and Residential School organizations throughout the year.

Maki R.S.E.
PASTRY CHEF • OWNER • CEO
Chef Maki is a Certified Red Seal Journeyman Pastry Chef and Baker of Sioux/Saulteaux Ojibwe and German descent. Chef is a registered member, resides and has her business based on White Bear First Nation in Saskatchewan.
A product of the 60's Scoop, she was adopted into a wonderful Finnish family in Ontario. She jokingly refers to herself as Finndigenous. She has worked as an Executive Pastry Chef in some of Canada's best restaurants, resorts, hotels, and bakeries. Chef Maki had a vision for her future. She wanted to have complete creative control and explore her Indigenous identity. Opening Raven Rising was a natural progression in her career—learning and sharing knowledge on Indigenous ingredients, and the First Peoples on a Global scale is the primary focus. Creating unique flavour profiles and products, Raven Rising represents a story, a journey into her lost background, and celebrates her findings.
